Meet the client – Matthew Williamson
Matthew Williamson is internationally renowned for his highly recognisable signature aesthetic; he is a master of print, embellishment, fine detail and kaleidoscopic colour. His collections reflect a refined yet spirited sense of glamour inspired by global and artistic influences.
A graduate from the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s College, Matthew showed his critically-acclaimed debut collection ‘Electric Angels’ in 1997. The brand’s inimitable style has long appealed to celebrities and industry insiders alike and it counts long-time friend Sienna Miller among its many devotees.
The luxury fashion house produces six capsule collections of women’s ready-to- wear and accessories annually, all produced on a buy-now- wear-now model. The range of branded products in the luxury lifestyle and interiors arena includes wallpapers and fabrics with Osborne & Little, furniture with Duresta, stationery with Museums & Galleries and rugs with The Rug Company.
Matthew met Greystone Director Simon Lomas over 15 years ago.
“Figures and finance are not my forte”, explains Matthew, “so meeting Simon who has looked after me for many years was such a relief.
He has the ability to break things down, give simple and straightforward advice and even makes the whole thing seem like fun.”
